Here is a sample room. They vary considerably in the amount of sunshine that comes in (due to the extensive garden that makes the hotel so nice). There is also a room for wheelchair access.

This is a view of the garden area. All rooms are around this same garden.

This front part of the hotel has function rooms for meetings, groups, etc. There is also a regular dining room elsewhere in the hotel.

I have stayed in the Hotel Ciudad Vieja in Guatemala City several months a year for many years (since the Cortijo Reforma where I used to stay was changed from a hotel into condominium).

The Hotel Ciudad Vieja is quite, peaceful, and clean. The owners are honest hard working people. This hotel is not frequented by drunks, drug dealers, or other undesirable kinds of people. It is not a hot-pillow hotel either (careful, many hotels in Guatemala rent by the hour for quickies; no matter how much you may think you want a quickie yourself, you do not want prostitutes wandering around the corredors).

The Hotel Ciudad Vieja has both business travelers and tourists, from the US, Europe, and Latin America.

The waiters, reception desk staff, and cleaning staff are all pleasant.
